SXS TRAIL RIDERS COCKATOO RIDE RECAP | LIFESTYLE | News

The SXS Trail Riders headed to the Dandenong region of Victoria for an epic ride day dubbed the Cockatoo Ride.

The SXS Trail Riders Cockatoo Ride was held on private property in the Dandenong ranges (with a paintball area in the centre of the track – offering special discounts to the riders) and was an absolute blast. The SXS Trail Riders group have been running organised trail rides for side-by-sides all year and they’ e been growing in popularity. The Cockatoo ride was one of the best!

Here’s all the numbers you need to know:

SXS Registered: 31 buggies & 41 drivers as some opted to have a secondary driver option.

People in attendance: With family and friends there was over 80 people.

Conditions: Morning fog greeted riders before clearing mid-morning. It started out cold at three degrees and then hit 16 degrees as the sun shone throughout the day.

Track Style: This was an epic windy track. It was a Hilly forest track with technical corners and narrow trails.

Track Conditions: It was a little damp all day and and slippery in the trail areas which make for perfect conditions for SXS riding.

Incidents: There were no incidents on or off the track. Success!

Feedback: The feedback organiser got from entrants was overwhelmingly positive. They loved everything from the trail set out to the extras offered off the track.

Facility: Property owners were onsite and discussed future plans to upgrade the unisex toilet facilities and make provisions for camping for two-day events. We’re excited!

In addition to the buggy owners, there were 2 Can-Am dealers at the event, offering test and fun rides for customers.
