SEGWAY CLAIMS MINT 400 PODIUM | LIFESTYLE | News

Factory effort secures third place in Pro Stock Modified as 2026 race doubles as development ground.

The 2026 Mint 400 has emerged as a key development platform for factory UTV programs, with Segway Factory Racing delivering a podium result while Honda debuted its Talon 1000R race program. Segway’s Jacob Zuccone and co-driver Samantha Rode secured third place in the UTV Pro Stock Modified class, marking a significant step forward for the Super Villain platform in top-level desert racing.

Zuccone and Rode competed against a 14-car field in the Pro Stock Modified class, finishing less than seven minutes behind second place and 12 minutes ahead of fourth. The class was won by Sara Price, who finished 21 minutes clear of the field. The result follows the team’s earlier outing at King of the Hammers, where they placed sixth in the Desert Challenge within the Pro Stock Turbo class, despite running the only entry outside of Polaris and Can-Am and receiving penalties for missed checkpoints.

The Mint 400 performance represents continued progression for Segway’s off-road racing program, with the Super Villain SX20T platform now competing directly against established manufacturers in mainstream classes. The 2026 model has also been priced from $33,999 before on-road costs, with pre-orders now open as Segway continues development of its factory-backed UTV program.
