Polaris has formally announced the expansion of their product offering in Australia and New Zealand for the Commercial sector.
In addition to the already successful Pro XD, RANGER EV and Taylor-Dunn product lines, Polaris will now offer the all-electric GEM and Goupil brands, which are well known and used across the United States and Europe.
Goupil and GEM produce complementary vehicles, and their combined portfolio provides Polaris with a line-up of electric vehicles suited to a wide range of applications spanning from people-movers to light-duty haulers. By coupling Goupil and GEM with the strong, pre -existing Commercial line-up, Polaris truly has a vehicle solution for any need.
Goupil is an on-road, commercial electric vehicle, built on a modular design that offers many Functional options and appeals to a wide variety of customers for stop and go applications. To start, Polaris will offer the G4 model, with plans to expand in the future. The G4 has a pay load of up to 1,200 kg and is compatible with 30 different equipment attachments, making it the perfect Vehicle for any job. The G4 vehicle can be adapted to many applications due to its versatility and modularity, but is most commonly used in landscaping, logistics and waste management.
In the United States, GEM is the market leader in the electric low-speed vehicle (LSV) industry. All- electric, street-legal GEM vehicles provide a safe, sustainable and cost-effective way to move people and cargo, all without compromising reliability or utility. GEM also provides premium comfort, safety and appearance for a variety of professional operations. With a range of two to six seat passenger vehicles and the GEM eL XD utility vehicle, GEM has a strong offering to support almost any application from Universities and Governments to Hospitality and Parks & Leisure.
To advance and support the growing needs of this business, Polaris has established a new business unit–Polaris Commercial. Polaris Commercial operates within the Polaris Sales Australia organisation which will support the new venture with marketing, technical support, logistics, parts and accessories.
Polaris Commercial is actively expanding its dealer network to support these new brands and customers. The Taylor-Dunn brand will continue to be distributed via the Toyota Materials Handling group nationally, except for Victoria which is handled by Warequip.
