CAN-AM REVEALS MEATEATER DEFENDER CUSTOM BUILD | LIFESTYLE | News

Defender HD11 MAX Lonestar-based hunting UTV unveiled as part of Can-Am and MeatEater collaboration.

Can-Am has unveiled the MeatEater Defender, a custom-built version of its Defender HD11 MAX Lonestar side-by-side, developed in collaboration with outdoor brand MeatEater and S3 Powersports. The one-off build is designed for hunting, conservation work and extended backcountry use, combining factory accessories with a range of aftermarket components.

The project is based on the Defender MAX HD11 Lonestar platform, powered by a triple-cylinder Rotax HD11 engine and featuring an enclosed cab with heating and air conditioning, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a premium interior. S3 Powersports led the customisation, equipping the vehicle with heavy-duty suspension components, upgraded bumpers, molle storage panels and a rear rack system to increase load-carrying capability.

Additional equipment includes Can-Am’s LinQ accessory system for mounting gear such as gun cases and tools, SMART LED light bars, integrated mirrors and expanded storage solutions. The vehicle is fitted with 35-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM3 tyres mounted on 15-inch KMC Impact beadlock wheels, aimed at improving off-road traction across varied terrain.

The MeatEater Defender also features a GoFastCampers V2 Pro rooftop tent for overnight use, along with Rotopax fuel and water storage. A custom wrap using FirstLite Cerca Camo has been applied to suit arid and rocky environments.

Can-Am says the build highlights the versatility of the Defender platform and reflects a broader collaboration with MeatEater focused on outdoor access, hunting and backcountry exploration.
