Xavier de Soultrait grabbed his 2nd victory of the week and the 6th for Polaris, who are dominating the overall rankings thanks to title holder Brock Heger with ‘XdS’, the previous year’s winner, 32’20’’ behind the American.
“It was a great first week with difficult, long stages. We won a stage on the first day, and on this one too. We gritted our teeth and clenched our butts going through the rocks. We have a new Polaris, it’s super stable, we can jump from dune to dune like on a motorbike and, honestly, Martin and I did a great job. It’s great to win once again. We’re second overall, which is perfect. We’re not pushing too hard, we’re not using any jokers, we don’t want to knock ourselves out of the race like others are doing”.
