WHAT IS AORVA?

We ask AORVA's main man Darryl Petch just what the organisation stands for and their plans for the future.

While capturing all the epic action at the SXS Adventure at Bike Territory in Narrabri, NSW, we spotted Australian Off-Road Vehicle Association’s (AORVA) Darryl Petch spinning some laps in a Polaris Ranger. he was having a ball and soaking up the relaxed atmosphere of the event so we thought we’d check in to see how AORVA is tracking.

Turns out AORVA are growing significantly with loads of side-by-side enthusiasts signing up with the benefit of not only mingling with fellow side-by-side enthusiasts but also taking advantage of the benefits AORVA offer.

AORVA is a not for profit association that forms a consolidated body for All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and side-by-side (SSV) users working for a healthy future for our chosen recreation. The main aim of AORVA is to improve Australia legislation mourned side-by-sides, increase safety awareness and grow the side-by-side community. To do this, AORVA needs to grow its membership so they can approach Government to be recognised as the ATV and SSV users official representative. They’re planning to achieve a nationally consistent ORV registration model and to negotiate land use agreements for ORV recreation. And finally, they plan to foster and promote more structured and better managed recreational ORV use in Australia, develop and promote ORV safety and training and bolster recreational ORV safety awareness and training.

AORVA is all about improving accessibility and communicating existing legal riding / driving locations to members and connecting ORV users, Clubs, Tourism, Manufacturers, Dealerships, Aftermarket and ORV Service Industry.
