WANT A JOB WITH POLARIS?

Polaris introduces the young guns talent acquisition initiative to bring more young people into technical roles with the company.

Over the last few years, Polaris have observed the challenge of recruiting talent due to the critical skill shortages industry-wide. In particular, the shortages around tech-based roles, which were strongly felt in their dealer network.

Traditional recruitment methods apparently proved to be insufficient to recruit talented individuals in this kind of competitive job market. Therefore, Polaris Industries, which includes brands such as Polaris Off-Road vehicles and Indian Motorcycles are taking a proactive approach in helping to find new talent for their dealer network.

We are excited to introduce the POLARIS YOUNG GUNS initiative.

Recognizing the industry’s need for skilled technicians and other tech-based roles, Polaris Industries are tackling this issue head-on, by getting in front of young people at Career Expos across the east coast in 2023 and promoting opportunities within Polaris / Indian Motorcycle. These career expos will provide Polaris with an excellent platform to capture the hearts and minds of young career seekers, as well as those looking to make a career change later in life.

They will be showcasing the variety of roles available in the industry with the aim to generate leads of motivated young apprenticeship seekers or people seeking career changes, who have expressed interest in joining the industry.

The attendance at these career expos marks phase 1 of their initiative. In the second half of this year, they will be actively seeking partnerships with regional high schools, employment associations, and technical and further education institutions (TAFEs).

By expanding the reach of their project through these partnerships, they aim to foster long-term relationships with educational institutions and attract more young individuals to consider a career within the industry.
