Get ready for the trip of a lifetime, the Can-AM Adventure! Can-Am are taking Maverick X3 riders from the famous Finke track through the Simpson Desert in 2022

Can-Am and RideNorth, would like to offer Maverick X3 owners the opportunity to pilot their Maverick X3 through the Simpson Desert for the first ever, Australian, Can-Am Adventure Maverick X3 tour. The tour date is from 17/10/2022 to 21/10/2022 and the requirement is that you must own a Can-Am Maverick X3

For 2022, the Can-Am Adventure Maverick X3 Tour will be adventuring down the Finke Desert Race track and the Old Ghan railway down to the Simpson desert. The tour will begin and finish in Alice Springs but not before putting your Maverick X3 to the test on the world-renowned Finke Prologue track. After that they head South, experiencing the sandy roads, dry riverbeds, dunes, gibber plains and bulldust holes of central Australia.

  • Travel to and from Alice Springs

  • Camping sleeping bags, pillow and mat (optional as beds have an integrated mat)
  • Spare parts: some will be available on the tour of sales

Can-Am Australia are passionate about exploring the outdoors and have been working with AORVA and State governments to ensure more recreational driving like this can happen. Crossing the Simpson Desert in a  side-by-side has long been a dream of ours but is honestly something we thought would never happen. But it seems with the announcement of conditional registration in Queensland, other state governments are open to a little side-by-side action too.

Can-am wanted to stress it is not a race. It is a recreational activity and a test of endurance for the Maverick X3.Participants will ride in the company of professional guides.

But it gets better! Can-Am ambassador and Dakar and Finke champion Toby Price will be along for the drive!

‘I’ve never done the Simpson Desert drive myself,’ Toby says. ‘It’s one of the reasons I want to be on the trip as well. It’s exciting for me, and with a great group of people around me who are just excited, and some rev heads like myself, it’s going to make it a great experience.’
